Julie Fullmer

Accounting Associate

Julie moved to Oakhurst in 2007 and started a career in tourism which included bookkeeping, payroll and managing the tourism bureau. She got involved in community events, including being a board director of the Oakhurst Chamber of Commerce, and organizing the Oakhurst Fall Festival for 2 years.

Julie made a switch in 2017 to manage all aspects of Fullmer’s Appliance Repair until they closed the business in 2024. During her time with Fullmer’s she had the privilege of meeting Alisa while she attended two of her Oakhurst Alisa CPA workshops. Julie and her husband, Lynn, retired in 2024 and headed to Custer, SD.

She went to college in her home state, Nebraska, to get an art degree. During that time she also found she loved numbers and was super organized. While not completing her art degree, she was able to use her talents in different office jobs in every state she moved to from Nebraska to Texas to Ohio back Nebraska then California where her parents retired in 1981. Two of her favorite long-term jobs were with a mortgage company in Texas for 10 years and working for Avon Products in the communication and training departments for 8 years.

Why a move to the Black Hills? This beautiful area is so close to Julie's old stomping grounds and has great Midwest memories. Her only daughter, Elle, lives in Norway with her daughter, Lilly. Julie loves to travel with her husband and two energetic border collie pups - Rebecca Blue (Becca) and Amazing Grace (Mazie). When not working, she is busy as a ‘Daughter of the American Revolution' (DAR) volunteer for both the local and national events, takes Hillsdale on-line history and political classes, reads and loves to dabble in her art.
